Action! launches Live Scene Partner for actors
A reader when you need one: the new feature helps actors rehearse scenes and prepare self-tapes without arranging a rehearsal partner.
Action!, the script rehearsal app for iPhone and iPad, has launched Live Scene Partner, giving actors a way to work through dialogue when nobody is available to read with them.
Actors import a script, choose their role and speak their lines. The partner listens and responds with the other characters’ dialogue, allowing actors to practise a scene in their own time.
For an actor facing an audition deadline, finding a reader can be an extra job in itself. Live Scene Partner removes that scheduling hurdle from rehearsal, making it easier to repeat a scene, work on delivery and arrive better prepared.
It also makes self-tape preparation more accessible: actors can practise their sides with a responsive reader before recording their audition, even when a friend or colleague isn’t free.
The feature sits alongside Action!’s script import, scene organisation and rehearsal tools. Live Scene Partner is available through Action Ultra.
