Dead Good October, East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure’s celebration of the spooky season, is returning for its fourth year.

Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock has a series of spine-tingling shows and sessions lined up, with a spooktacular Halloween Party for all the family on Sunday 27 October, Goosebumps 2 on the big screen on Halloween and the smash-hit Spontaneous Potter, an entirely improvised Harry Potter comedy play.

Crime fiction readers are in for a treat, with two authors lined up to share their inspiration. Award-winning journalist and best-selling crime author Anna Smith will be discussing her hugely popular Rosie Gilmour series with crime blogger Sarah Bairden on 9 October at Giffnock Library. Novelist Theresa Talbot will be at Barrhead Foundry on 14 October to talk about her books The Lost Children, Keep Her Silent and latest novel The Quiet Ones.
