WHAT’S ON DECEMBER: CLASSIC CHRISTMAS TALE WITH A TWIST – IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: RADIO PLAY ON STAGE
Christmas classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ is coming to life on stages across Scotland as a Live Radio Play, kicking off at the Carmichael Hall in Giffnock on Saturday 9 December, 3pm and 7.30pm.
The audience can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie as they soak up the story of one of the most inspirational films of all time, featuring live sound effects and live music.
The tale is presented as a 1940s radio broadcast in front of a studio audience, with six actors playing radio actors who portray all the characters from the classic story.
The No Nonsense Productions show is back by popular demand for the sixth consecutive year and we are delighted that it makes its Eastwood debut and presents the audience with a rare opportunity to see how a 1940s broadcast was produced.
Kevin Jannetts, Artistic Director, No Nonsense Productions said: “It’s a Wonderful Life is a true Christmas classic and we’re delighted to be bringing our show with a twist to Carmichael Hall this year.”
He added: “It’s a great alternative Christmas night out for friends and family, with two shows on offer in the afternoon and evening and will certainly get you in the Christmas spirit.“
The show starts at the Carmichael Hall in Giffnock before moving to venues across Scotland in the lead up to Christmas.
Tickets cost £14 / £12 concession. To see the full programme of winter events and to book tickets visit: http://www.eastwoodparktheatre.co.uk/boxoffice
